OPERATOR - CASTING CENTER
Shawinigan Aluminium is currently seeking an OPERATOR to support its industrial operations.
In this role, you will play a key part in carrying out core production activities and transformation processes specific to the plant's manufacturing operations and area of expertise.
Your work will have a direct impact on:
- The execution and continuity of the production flow
- The performance and efficiency of operations
- The quality and compliance of finished products
Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Training in an industrial, manufacturing, or technical field (asset)
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment (asset)
- Interest in working in an industrial setting
- Basic computer skills
- Experience operating material handling or lifting equipment (asset)
- Availability to work a rotating day/night schedule (12-hour shifts – 3-2-2-3 schedule)
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and diligence
- Strong sense of responsibility and adherence to procedures
- Team-oriented mindset
- Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work independently
Responsabilities
- Perform production process operations
- Handle, move and position loads using overhead cranes and industrial lifting equipment (training provided on site)
- Ensure the handling of materials and products throughout the various stages of the process (heat treatment, cutting, inspection, finishing and packaging)
- Operate various industrial production and material handling equipment
- Strictly follow occupational health and safety (OHS) procedures and requirements
- Perform basic equipment checks and visual inspections
- Collaborate actively with team members
- Contribute to maintaining an organized, clean and efficient work environment
- Perform any other related duties
